Then just the binding to do, and this one will be finished..
We spent a beautiful sunny day on Saturday at the Weald and Downland open air museum, http://www.wealddown.co.uk/ watching a new old house being put up, and admiring the tamworth piglets
...and how's this for inspiration? A beautiful quilt on a bed in one of the historic buildings, made by local quiltmakers.
It's utilitarian and completely lovely.
I love the quilt at the museum - looks like my kind of handiwork - no neat corners matching! Yours is beautiful in a completely different kind of way and not one I could emulate. Lovely fabrics and colours.
ReplyDeleteI think in an ideal world Mr P and I would like to live on turnips in a house with no modern facilities, just a big open fire and lots of cosy quilts. And cats. And actually maybe not turnips.
